Platform
Plan the month without rebuilding it every week.
Scheduling is where cleaning operations lose the week. A sick note on Tuesday and the whole rota is wrong by Wednesday. Moonfoos keeps the plan honest: assign by load and availability, change it when the day changes underneath you, and let the record update itself.
Scheduling & rounds
Why operations teams love scheduling
Absorbs the unexpected
A sick note, a late finish, an extra room. Rebalance the round in a tap instead of redrawing the week.
Fair by load, not by habit
Allocate rooms, floors or vehicles by type and occupancy, so a section with three suites is not treated as the same work as one with twelve doubles.
The plan is the record
Every assignment is time-stamped and closed off, so the rota is also the evidence for the hours and the invoice.
Assign and rebalance
Assign by load and availability
See who is free and what they can take, then allocate rooms, floors or vehicles. Move the work across when the day changes underneath you.
Custom task types per site
Each hotel or office has its own constraints. Define the task types that fit — depth clean, stayover, washroom round, opening shift — and reuse them on every similar site.
Recurring rounds
Shift openings, hygiene rounds and security walkthroughs run to a schedule, so the routine work stops depending on somebody remembering.
Let the plan draft itself.
AI-backed planning reads your sites, your occupancy and your history, then proposes a rota you can approve or adjust. It handles the first draft; you keep the judgement.
Forecast staff to need
Predict the crew each site needs by day, so you stop over-staffing the quiet weeks.
One-click rebalance
When a shift opens up, the plan re-drafts around it in seconds.
The manager’s view
One board, every site
Every job, every issue and every recurring task on one board — assigned, time-stamped and closed off, instead of scattered across a group chat.
Delegate from the same screen
See what is open, who is holding it and how far along it is. Delegate from the same screen you check progress on.
Standards that hold
Service standards, SOPs and site-opening checklists are written once at head office and applied everywhere. What you agreed is what gets delivered.
Your roster feeds payroll and the client report automatically.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
How does Moonfoos handle a last-minute absence?
The plan re-drafts around the people who are actually free, so the affected round is rebalanced rather than the week rebuilt. If nobody on that site can take it, Moonfoos shows who is available on a neighbouring one, because the plan sees the portfolio and not just the site. Every change is time-stamped, so the rota also records what moved and when.
Can I set different task types per site?
Yes. Task types are defined per site, so a hotel runs depth cleans, stayovers and washroom rounds while an office runs its own opening and evening shifts. Define the set once for a kind of site and reuse it on the next one of the same kind, so winning a new contract does not mean rebuilding the same list from scratch.
Does the plan update when a task is completed on site?
The board reflects the work as it is closed off, so what is done, what is open and who is holding it are current rather than this morning’s snapshot. A completed task carries the time it was closed and the worker who closed it. Nothing has to be re-entered at the office, and the clock-in behind it is the same record payroll will read.
Can head office see every site’s rota?
Yes, within the permissions you set. Operations sees every site on one board while a site supervisor sees their own, and head office reads the same record the sites are working from. That is what removes the copy of the spreadsheet that used to travel by email and arrive out of date.
